Julie Bindel was at the fateful Greens conference. The problem isn’t just the “Zionism is racism” motion: the party now attracts the worst of the worst. In the Telegraph:

The Green Party is finished, and not just because of the “Zionism is racism” motion. That is merely a horrific symptom of a problem that has been festering ever since the party first abandoned its principles for ideology.

At the conference last week, I wandered around stalls promoting – amongst others – such Leftist causes as “Queers for Cuba”, “Trans Green Youth”, and “Decriminalise Sex Work Now!”

Regular chants of “Free, Free Palestine” reached my ears. Meanwhile, outside were the current and former Green Party women banned from the conference for saying that sex matters, and that we shouldn’t put male rapists in women’s prisons. There is so much misogyny these days within the party. On Sunday, trans activists stormed a women’s pelvic health session, unfurling a trans flag as physiotherapist Elaine Miller addressed the audience by video link.

The Green Party of England and Wales is now a sponge ready to suck up crazed extremists of any stripe; they are bonded by misogyny and anti-Semitism….

Climate science denial is heavily condemned by the party, but biological sex denial is beyond de rigueur; it is strictly enforced. And in one of its most glaring policy contradictions, a party that positions itself as anti-capitalist now champions not one, but two, of capitalism’s most exploitative industries: surrogacy and prostitution….

It can’t be resolved; the lunatics have taken over the asylum. Environmentalists (including expelled feminists) will have to leave and start over with an actual green party.

It’s high time the Government unequivocally condemned the Greens. Labour must make clear that there is no question of a coalition with this bunch of irresponsible extremists.

I’m not holding my breath on that one. Labour is toying with the same ideologies that the Greens have succumbed to.
