A report from Transgender Trend on the disastrous effect of the gender cult on children’s literature. The executive summary:

There is so much to touch on regarding the way in which gender ideology and trans
activism have warped children’s publishing, diminishing its imaginative output and
quality. The chapters contributed to this report by some six individuals connected
to the children’s publishing world – four named; two wishing to remain anonymous
to preserve their livelihoods – cover most of that terrain in quite some detail: the
gender stereotypes and age-inappropriate trans-activist dogma communicated in
books for young and older children, from the picture book to the YA market; the
preference of CILIP and library services for trans-activist children’s books; the
recent decline in writing quality and purported links to a pervading culture of
censorship and Ideological prescription; the grim stories of those cancelled and the
continuing threat of cancellation for sex-realist children’s writers. All of these
chapters are written in the contributors’ own voices

Yet when SEEN in Publishing was commissioning chapters, the feeling was that
gender affirmation has really got its claws into publishing staff, authors and
librarians largely because there is a great deal of biological illiteracy in the literary
world. Even highly successful, educated and relatively well-paid senior
staff/authors really seem to believe that a person can change sex by undergoing
various invasive and harmful medical procedures. They really seem to think it
possible that a child can be ‘born in the wrong body’; that there is such a thing as a
‘trans child’; that a girl can be a boy and vice versa; that a child can be neither girl
nor boy, and therefore ‘non-binary’; that biological reality should be entirely
uncoupled from someone’s ‘innate’ sense of what they are. They have swallowed
the lie that ‘trans’ people are at risk of suicide if they are not affirmed in their
desired gender. In short, despite their intelligence, publishing folk seem uniquely
impervious to long-established, thoroughly-evidenced scientific fact.

No doubt many are just too scared to go against the prevailing ideology.
