At 462m, it will be the tallest building in Russia, and in Europe as a whole.
Originally Gazprom City, then the Okhta Center, the project was suspended at the Okhta site in 2010 due to official objections from the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, and in the beginning of 2011 was relocated to the Lakhta area in the outskirts, 9 km from the city centre overlooking the Gulf of Finland.
