Important points about this potentially disastrous bill.
An investigation will then need to commence to determine who said or did what, what their intent was and whether it constitutes an attempt at so-called conversion. But with such vague definitions within the bill this will likely end up being very subjective.
The public must realise that UK policing is already in a multifaceted crisis; it is run by unaccountable, unregulated leaders who fancy themselves able to interpret UK law through their own political lens, dissent from the top-down imposed ideology is stamped out to the point of constituting corruption, training in legislation and research around vital workstreams is woefully inadequate,
there is a national shortage of detectives because the responsibility and risk level in some detective roles far outweighs the salary, investigations into serious crimes such as sexual offences already take several years and rarely result in convictions, officers and staff are demoralised, fearful and financially trapped working for organisations they hate and the bodies that lead policing have no interest in feedback nor appetite for change.
There is also the issue of unlawful policy, procedure and guidance which myself and @PoliceSEENUK colleagues have been challenging for years in individual forces and nationally. If this bill passes it will embolden the ideologues to repeat their efforts to try and bring in self ID but it will be much harder to stop this time.
Make no mistake, this bill IS Self ID by the back door.
