From the Telegraph – Revealed: BBC reporter’s history of glorifying murder of Jews:

A BBC Arabic reporter who wrongly described terrorists killed in Gaza as “journalists” has a history of glorifying the murder of Jewish people, The Telegraph can disclose.

Layla Bashar al-Kloub has described Israel’s Jewish population as “terrorists” and asked Allah to “strengthen” a Palestinian TV presenter who had been labelled a Holocaust denier.

She has also described Palestinians who have been killed after murdering Israelis as “martyrs”.

Last month, The Telegraph reported allegations of BBC bias after finding that 53 people it had described as “journalists” killed in Gaza had links to Hamas or other armed groups.

Some were alleged to have taken part in the Oct 7 attacks, while others had expressed support for violence against Israelis or been claimed as members by militant organisations.

Shocking, I know – but it’s been an open secret for a while. Indeed al-Kloub is quite the heroine with, you know, the right people. From the JC last year:

A BBC Arabic correspondent who previously praised the “exquisite journalism” of a Holocaust revisionist has been named as one of the winners at the British Council’s Study UK Alumni Awards.

Layla Bashar Al-Kloub, a senior journalist at the public broadcaster, has also previously condemned the “Zionist entity”, labelled Israel as “terrorists”, and called the suspected killer of an Israeli rabbi a “martyr”.

The Alumni Awards recognise the achievements of “international leaders” who have leveraged their UK education to make “significant contributions” to their home countries.

Al-Kloub was named the 2025 Jordan Winner of the Culture and Creativity Award for her “remarkable contributions” to “storytelling and cultural engagement”.

Storytelling, certainly.
