The Times – Passengers storm cockpit to head off ‘Israel’s 9/11’:

Passengers stormed the cockpit of a Tel Aviv-bound airliner and overpowered its co-pilot after he attacked the captain and tried to crash the aircraft in a suspected terrorist attack.

The first officer, an Omani citizen, seized control of the Flydubai aircraft over Saudi Arabia early on Wednesday after he was reported to have stabbed Captain Smit Machchhar, an Indian, mid-flight.

And celebrations in the UAE:

For my entire existence, I had never seen Arabs celebrate the good qualities of Israelis. They had always treated Israelis like they were incapable of being normal people, with good qualities.

The UAE’s tolerance and humanity is making history.

Despite all the wars and suffering in the world, there’s a kind of hope that is truly unprecedented.

The BBC claims that the motives of the Omani pilot are unknown – but everybody else knows. And the Israelis know. They’ve been living with this for decades, and, as we see, their courage and determination are as strong as ever.
