At Genspect – What Does Testosterone do to the Female Body?
Many of the health problems experienced by trans-identified women in their teens and 20s who have taken testosterone closely resemble those faced by women from around age 50 onward in natural menopause. Let’s look at some of the most important.
So – read the article for details, but in brief:
Osteoporosis – brittle bones
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction – may lead to urinary incontinence, overactive bladder symptoms, pelvic organ prolapse, recurrent urinary tract infections, vaginal dryness, sexual dysfunction, and in some cases chronic pelvic or musculoskeletal pain.
Dementia – linked to premature menopause.
Fertility – yes, a big problem.
Conclusion:
Women who transition are sold the lie that they can opt into manhood through puberty blockers and/or cross-sex hormones and surgeries. But estrogen and testosterone are not interchangeable. Women’s bodies need estrogen to be healthy, and trying to substitute one for the other is doing no more than entering into a medical compact from which they cannot emerge unscathed as women, and not as any sort of men at all.
In brief: it’s not a good idea to mess with the body’s normal hormonal balance in pursuit of a social contagion fantasy that you can change sex.
