.*..we’ll have all these incredible stories and memories, and yours will be right at the top of it all.”

Adde: from the Telegraph.

Donald Trump’s top negotiators thanked Vladimir Putin for protecting them as they made “incredible memories” with him in Moscow on Saturday.

The Russian president agreed to pause attacks on Kyiv while Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff attempted to revive peace talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. However, Russia continued launching deadly strikes elsewhere.

Mr Kushner, the US president’s son-in-law, and Mr Witkoff, his peace envoy, told Putin that Mr Trump had sent his “best wishes” and ‌had been grateful that he had agreed not to strike the Ukrainian capital, where they planned to travel on Sunday.

During their three-hour meeting at the Kremlin, Mr Witkoff said: “I want to thank you for endorsing the no-shoot policy in Kyiv and in Moscow … that allowed us to be able to come here in a safe manner.”
