Janice Turner in the Times:

What would you call an organisation that targets politicians, smashes the windows of a conference attended by 3,000 people and intimidates a government body with violent threats against its staff? This, surely, is the very definition of terrorism.

Bash Back, a trans rights organisation whose poster shows a figure in a balaclava wielding a hammer and the slogan “choose your weapon”, has escalated its violence since the Supreme Court clarification on single-sex spaces. This week Mary-Ann Stephenson, chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, said Bash Back had forced her staff to relocate to safer offices. This follows its vandalism of the FiLia women’s conference in Brighton and Wes Streeting’s constituency HQ.

Trans activism is drenched in violent misogyny. Only last week Darren Rigby was jailed for sending death threats to Liverpool girls’ schools, claiming to be en route with a knife and a revolver. “You Terfs are going to learn to stop mocking, deadnaming and misgendering trans women like me,” he wrote. Not that the BBC reported either his motivation or that he was solely targeting girls.

It’s time for Prevent to expand its definition of terrorism to include men like him and groups like Bash Back.

Yep.
