Jolyon Maugham’s Good Law Project strikes again:

Is it normal procedure to castrate patients – perform an orchiectomy – because of testicle pain? Of course not. The man seeking this drastic operation goes by “Lisa”, so it’s clear enough that this is indeed an attempt to get “gender affirming care” for free on the NHS. And since “gender identity” is not a protected characteristic in the UK, this doesn’t look very hopeful for Jolyon and “Lisa”.

The claim that this is refusing to treat someone “because of their gender identity” is absurd and offensive – but then what else is new with the GLP?
