More on Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart from Milli Hill:

I do spend a lot of my time telling myself and other women that we should speak with more confidence – because, after all, men do – but when I listen to Alastair and Rory, I find myself thinking that there is definitely a sweet spot for self-belief that they have massively over shot. Their arrogance and self-congratulatory chin-rubbing knows no bounds, particularly on the gender issue, about which they don’t seem to have consulted a single woman, apart from Campbell’s daughter, Grace, who has gone on record to state that the older women who campaigned for the Supreme Court judgment are, ‘uggerly’ and ‘freeaks’.

Campbell and Stewart are the type of men I like to call, ‘walking radio stations’, always on transmit, never on receive; the kind who if you met them at a party would go home for the night safe in the belief that they had been at their most scintillating best, oblivious to the fact they know precisely nothing about a single woman they’ve spoken to.

Seems about right.
