David Collier on this BBC report.
Last night @bbcnews published an article on Syria. On the face it was written by @LucyWilliamson. The report is junk – even its opening line is deceptive – and the content paints Israel as irrational warmongers.
All this is usual for the BBC – but look a little closer. pic.twitter.com/IhH6Wru3L9

"What is often not understood – most BBC journos can't write articles on Syria / Gaza by themselves – and almost every article has BBC Arabic (or worse) DNA. This one is no different. And you'll notice Mayar Mohanna helped Lucy W. Not for the first time either. So who is Mayar?"
Mayar Mohanna, as Collier shows, has posted in celebration of the Hamas pogrom, in celebration of the Iranian missile attack on Israel, in celebration of "my favourite bird" – a drone with a Palestinian flag attached.
There is no excuse. All this is publicly visible on her FB. The BBC does not care and does not check before writing anti-Israel pieces. They happily accept any pro-terrorist voice – all that matters is that they can help to smear Israel.

See this from last December, with Collier taking apart another of Lucy Williamson's reports where she quotes one Raed Debiy, "a political scientist and youth leader for the West Bank's ruling party, Fatah", who was in fact a Hamas fanboy.
This same Lucy Williamson, also last December, reported breathlessly on the abuse Palestinian prisoners received in Israeli jails, citing the case of Mohammed Nazzal and his supposedly broken arms, sustained, he claimed, after brutal beatings from sadistic Israeli prison officers – despite the video footage of his release where his arms, and everything else, were clearly just fine.
