Laura Pascal, Labour candidate for Thursday’s by-election in Hackney, was “administratively suspended” by the party following a complaint about transphobia. Yes, she tweeted that biological sex matters, and that trans women are not female.
Not to worry. She's done some grovelling:

How very Red Guards. And how utterly pathetic.
Hostage statements like this are always embarrassing. But from people seeking political office they wave a sign saying: “I will not stand up for my principles. I will say what I’m told to say”. It’s cowardice. We already have enough of that.
Update: however, yesterday – "Pleased to he able to update my Twitter profile this evening"…"Feminist and unapologetic for my gender critical views. Atheist Jew Democratic Socialist Labour Candidate for Cazenove".
So, did she not write that apology? A (very welcome) change of heart?
