Hey, he's all woman:

That's Munroe Bergdorf, that is. And he – yes indeed, he's trans – has been selected as UN Women's UK Champion. Well, he's got all the right qualifications – fabulous decolletage, a load of slap, sexy dress, long hair. But not everyone's happy:

Seventeen women’s rights groups have signed a letter to the charity UN Women UK expressing concern about its choice of a transgender woman as its “UK champion”.

Organisations including Fair Play for Women, Sex Matters, Transgender Trend and the Women’s Rights Network wrote of their “dismay and disappointment” that Munroe Bergdorf had been picked.

Bergdorf, 36, a model and broadcaster, was given the post of the first UN Women UK Champion in November. UN Women UK supports the work of the UN Women entity to improve the lives of women and girls, as well as the “empowerment of women equality globally within civil society, government and the corporate sector”.

But the concerned groups wrote: “We wish to register our dismay and disappointment at the appointment of … Munroe Bergdorf as a UN Women UK champion. Munroe Bergdorf is unsuitable in every regard. Munroe Bergdorf’s well-publicised activism is not pro-women. This person has objected to women making references to our female bodies.”

The group listed issues such as female genital mutilation (FGM) and questioned how Bergdorf could champion women without speaking about female bodies.

This is the same UN Women that took some two months before they could manage a lacklustre condemnation of the brutal sexual violence against Israeli women on October 7th – “We are alarmed by the numerous accounts of gender-based atrocities and sexual violence during those attacks.”
