On Broadway Market

Now very much a trendy weekend site full of gourmet reataurants and smart cafes, Hackney's Broadway Market was a very different place 40 years back, when photographer Stuart Goodwin lived there. From his book One Saturday in 82 on Broadway Market:

I lived on Broadway Market in the late seventies and 80s. These pictures are Broadway Market Hackney in 1982, at the time of a major community action to prevent the then Greater London Council demolishing it.
