A report from the Bournemouth Echo:
A woman who has been accused of indecent exposure in Ringwood has appeared in court.
Samantha Norris, 55, appeared in Southampton Magistrates’ Court today charged with a number of offences.
Norris, of Euston Grove in Ringwood, has been accused of three counts of making indecent photographs/pseudo-photographs of a child, possession of a prohibited image of a child, possession of extreme pornographic image and two counts of exposure.
It follows a report to police that two young girls were allegedly subjected to indecent exposure opposite an address on Euston Grove in Ringwood between Wednesday, July 26 and Thursday, July 27.
Hmm. A woman? Really? It's not exactly a common female crime, flashing. Or possession of extreme pornographic images.
Portsmouth News want to make sure there's no doubt, with their uncompromising headline – "Female Samantha Norris who allegedly flashed at two young girls near Hampshire school is remanded in custody until 2024".
In the New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times, however, Samantha is "a person":
Police investigating reports of indecent exposure in Ringwood have charged a person.
This comes after reports that two young girls were allegedly subjected to indecent exposure opposite an address on Euston Grove in Ringwood between Wednesday and Thursday 26th and 27th July.
Samantha Norris (55) of Euston Grove, Ringwood, has been charged with three counts of making indecent pictures of a child, possession of a prohibited image of a child, possession of extreme pornographic image and two counts of exposure.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates’ Court, they were remanded in custody to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday 9th January.
"They"? Is Samantha perhaps non-binary?
I'm going to go out on a limb here, and suggest that Samantha may, in fact, be a man….
