We've already had a "Palestinian Islamic scholar" claiming that the Jews started the war in Ukraine so that it could become the next Jewish state. Here's more in the same vein from former Russian diplomat Viacheslav Matuzov:
The MEMRI summary:
Former Russian diplomat Viacheslav Matuzov said in an October 17, 2022 show on Mayadeen TV (Lebanon) that Israel, America, and Ukraine have a “big strategic plan” to establish a second Israeli state in southern Ukraine. He said that his plan involves the annexation of Crimea and the reestablishment of a Jewish Khazar state. He said that this would solve the demographic threat Israel is facing in the Middle East, and he said that the Jews are claiming that the Khazar territory is Jewish, just like they claimed that Palestine is Jewish territory. In addition, Matuzov said that there are “suspicions” that this was the real goal of the war in Ukraine, and he said that Jewish oligarchs “control everything” in Russia and Ukraine.
Citing the Khazar hypothesis – that Ashkenazi Jews are descended from Khazars, a mostly Turkic group who lived in an area that would have included what's now Southern Ukraine – should come as no surprise. The largely discredited theory has become something of an antisemitic canard, particularly popular among Russian nationalists. Here's an informative article on how "a lack of historic sources on the Khazar empire and a highly contested hypothesis about Ashkenazi Jews have inspired antisemitic conspiracy theories that are now being weaponised against Ukraine".
