    Thank you, Mick for bringing back so many memories. Between 1952 and 1955 I worked for the Post Office Telephones as an apprentice. We covered all of S and SW London. Scenes like these were what we saw.
    In the 1980s I spent a year in West Birmingham and the Black Country. Those same scenes were still to be seen there.
