The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has officially announced next year's inductees: Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra and Joan Baez will all join the class of 2017.
Because nothing says "rock'n'roll" like Joan Baez.

Well yes, I take your point. At least he’s loud and brash.

If loud and brash is the criterion, why not Igor Stravinsky?

Stravinsky’s dead.
Oh yes – so is Tupac Shakur.

Joan Baez at least has a sense of humour – she does a wicked impression of Dylan. None of those other inductees seems very “rock and roll” to me, or to have a sense of humour. Pearl Jam, Yes, Journey – not a barrel of laughs anywhere there.

Leonard Cohen shouldn’t be in there either. If it’s a Hall of Fame for popular music it should say so.
