Well, any excuse for more Patsy Cline. The brackets in the title are just the icing on the cake. Here, from April 1962, with Bobby Lord:

This is less than a year before her death, in March 1963, so she was already a huge star.

Bobby Lord, to be honest, is new to me, but he merits his own Wikipedia entry, where we learn that he was a native Floridadian, started out in rockabilly, and at one time hosted an hour-long radio program under the title The Bobby Lord Homefolks Show. And, it has to be said, he has a decent voice.

But of course it's Patsy who steals the show.

Previously:

Crazy.
I Fall to Pieces.
I've Loved and Lost Again.

Not forgetting the obscure but compelling Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray.

    Excused.
Btw, it’s: (Remember Me) I’m the One Who Loves You (the printed title is wrong; they sing it correctly).
    Here’s Johnny Cash doing it:

You’re quite right – “who” loves you. I’ll change my title.

And it’s “Floridian” not “Floridadian”. You’re not doing your homework.

Yes yes – a deliberate mistake, to go with Trinidadian.

Browsing on Youtube for Bobby Lord I came across a few other singer-performers I really didn’t know and Valaida Snow was a revelation. I’d seen her name mentioned in connection with Ellington and Josephine Baker but never really watched/listened to anything by her. Here are a couple that caught my eye/ear:

and her best known number (too bad we don’t see her actually performing)…

Thanks for the links. She’s great, isn’t she? I might even use that first clip…
That trumpet solo is weird – she’s so obviously not playing…but I gather she did play, which rather suggests the whole performance was dubbed.

This introduced me to her story (the commentary and sound are out of sync but, as the uploader says, “you’ll still get it”).
