Adam Levick at UK Media Watch takes apart a fawning interview with Roger Waters (trigger warning: large photograph of the great man) at the Indie.

How sad that this once-great newspaper will soon cease its print edition.

Fawning interviews with the likes of Roger Waters go some way (IMHO) in explaining why this once-great newspaper is going out of print.
The Indie was set up with three principles in mind. The first was its commitment to hard news. The second was its efforts at impartiality. The third was that commentary was separated from reporting, and with the former the intention was to expose readers to competing arguments on contentious points.
And then it became the paper that employed Robert Fisk and Johann Hari, that tried to cover up a decade of the latter’s misdemeanours, that became as shouty and as unreliable (albeit from a different ideological direction) as the tabloids it decried, and then ended up as a purveyor of clickbait.
    How sad.
