They don't make songs like this anymore:

Two cigarettes in an ashtray,
My love and I in a small cafe.
Then a stranger came along,
And everything went wrong.
Now there's three cigarettes in the ashtray.

I watched her take him from me,
And his love is no longer my own.
Now they are gone, and I sit alone,
And watch one cigarette burn away.

Introduced by a seedy Red Foley – just about to light one up himself – a depressing seedy little Country vignette which really needs a depressing seedy little singer, but instead gets a glamorous Patsy Cline to brighten up the Edward Hopper scene. And anything she sings is worth a listen.

Then a stranger came along, And everything went wrong. Country music in a nutshell. Well, life, really…
