Robert Parker on The !!!! Show, 1966, from WFAA Dallas (previously):

Parker (not to be confused with the wine critic or the crime writer or the historian or the water polo player, or any of the other famous Robert Parkers) was originally a saxophonist, from New Orleans, and supported all the big New Orleans names like Professor Longhair, Huey "Piano" Smith and Fats Domino. Barefootin' was his one big hit.

That girl in the green dress is indeed dancing without shoes – barefootin'….the kind of attention to detail that marks out a great TV show. In fact she kind of hogs the attention from the sadly charisma-free Parker.

Great song though.

I think he’s lip-synching and the others are just pretending to play!
