   Three ladders. The two seem to be on very affectionate terms while the third, a tad shorter, is standing at some distance away, lonely and shunned. Surely it too would like a laddery hug, no?

   Well, I liked this shot because of the way those ladders just stick up there, mysteriously. And I always love a nice patch of blue sky with a plane in it (yes, that is a plane, not a speck of dust on the lens). But perhaps there are layers of meaning here of which I was unaware.
   Could it be that the significance of the lonely ladder on the left resonated with me on a sub-conscious level? – a presentiment I was unable to acknowledge to myself, but yet lay behind the strange compulsion with which I was drawn to photograph this scene…
