He was giving field guidance to the "flight training of KPA Air Force Unit 378 honoured with the title of the O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment":

After receiving a salute he acquainted himself with the unit’s performance of guard duty and mounted a commanding post to command the exercises of pilots.

Expressing great satisfaction with the fact that all the pilots have prepared themselves into competent fighter pilots through intensive flight trainings, bearing deep in mind that training is also a battle, he congratulated them on their successful training.

He met with the pilots who took part in the exercises and repeatedly congratulated them on their successful training. Personally touching their flight jackets, he showed benevolent solicitude for the pilots.

I'll bet he did.

He then went round the bedroom, mess hall and lecture rooms for the pilots of a subunit under the unit and enjoyed an art performance given by the pilots of the unit.

Expressing his expectation and belief that the service personnel of the unit would bring about a collective innovation in the combat and political trainings for the coming year and perform brilliant feats in the struggle to safeguard the socialist country, he had a photo taken with them.
