Militant supporters of Robert Mugabe have threatened to boycott a fast-food chain that launched a controversial festive season advertising campaign last week depicting the Zimbabwean leader as “the last dictator standing”.
Jimu Kunaka, the head of a group known as Chipangano, which is blamed for intimidation and harassment of opposition supporters, said that the advertisements must be withdrawn or the chain risked action, including a boycott.
The commercials are shown on South African pay TV channels available in Zimbabwe…
