More on those anti-Islam toy guns. There was a disappointing lack of detail in the previous reports: all we gathered was that the sound made by the guns was offensive to Islam, and insulted Aisha, the wife of the Prophet. Now here's a clip of a Sudanese preacher actually demonstrating the things. The difference is that he's claiming they're made by Shi'ites, whereas the Saudi toy guns were described as being made in China. But really, how many different anti-Islam toy guns can there be?
On top of the space-agey whee-whee noises you'd expect, there's some rapid-fire English which MEMRI transcribe as ""Go, go, go. Pull over. Save the hostages." I assume that's the part which is supposed to be saying "Shoot Aisha".
It's interesting that the man has no problem actually playing this supposedly blasphemous material to his audience. He's not worried in the slightest about offending anyone. No one in the audience will be covering their ears or fainting with horror or chanting prayers to counteract the badness. That's not the point. It's all about stoking up that sense of grievance; stirring up hatred.
