The derelict Lots Road Power Station:

Like the better known Battersea Power Station downstream on the other side of the river, this is still waiting for its future to be decided. There were plans for a couple of residential high-rises either side, with the building itself converted into shops, restaurants and flats, but there've been all kinds of objections from local residents, while the developers have had to deal with both Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham councils. And now there's the economic downturn….
