The field guidance continues, of course. There's been an agricultural theme recently. New features at the Pyongyang Times include:

Field Guidance to the newly-built Taedonggang Terrapin Farm. 

After being briefed on the farm in front of a huge map showing its panoramic view, he made the rounds of a general control room, indoor and outdoor terrapin ponds and other places of the farm to learn in detail about its construction and terrapin cultivation there.

Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that soldier-builders have built a modern terrapin-breeding base on the highest level of quality, he repeatedly praised their feats and extended his thanks to them.

Field Guidance to the newly-built Taedonggang Pig Farm. 

After being briefed on the farm in front of a huge map showing its panoramic view, he went round the exterior and interior of the farm to learn in detail about its construction, technical equipment, breeding of pigs and pork processing.

Expressing great satisfaction over the fact that builders successfully built a modern pig farm in a little over a year, he highly praised their feats.

Field Guidance to the renovated Tudan Duck Farm:

Looking round the room dedicated to the history of the farm, Kim Jong Il looked back with deep emotion upon the long path of development covered by the farm, which is associated with President Kim Il Sung’s loving care for the people.

He then went round several places of the farm for hours to learn in detail about its technological updating and production there.

He expressed great satisfaction over the facts that the farm has been updated well in a far-sighted way by putting all its production lines on a modern and automation basis…

At the duck farm there was a special treat for the Dear Leader:

That day he enjoyed an art performance given by the members of the art squad of the Pyongyang Poultry Guidance Bureau in the newly-built house of culture of the farm.

Yes, there's always room for culture amidst the looking-at-things. October Concert Given by Unhasu Orchestra Enjoyed:

Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, enjoyed the October Concert entitled “We’ll Travel One Road Forever” given by the Unhasu Orchestra on the occasion of the 66th founding anniversary of the WPK.

Raising the curtain of the concert with the playing of the “Patriotic Song,” the orchestra put on the stage such colourful numbers as an orchestral music and medley–female solo “The Embrace of Mother Party”, male quartet “Lights from the Party Central Committee”, female trio “We Miss the Benevolent Embrace”, male solo “A Loyal Heart”, mixed chorus and chorus “May Prosper, the Era of the Workers’ Party”–and orchestral music “The Girl on the Swing”, narration and orchestral music “We’ll Travel One Road Forever” and chorus “The Workers’ Party Is Our Guide”.
