It's an idea whose time has come. Thanks to the more relaxed and informal style of presentation that's blossoming on the internet, with people filming themselves in their own homes, we're now seeing the kind of helpful unpretentious cooking ideas that often get overlooked by the more aspirational Jamie Oliver/Delia Whatsits-type TV programmes. What you lose in professionalism you gain in charm and immediacy. Leading the way….Henry's Kitchen.

Here's Henry showing us how to make Killer Oven Baked French Toast (via):

If you enjoyed that, be sure not to miss Henry's Anytime Chili for One, Delicious Nutty Chocolate Truffles, and, perhaps my favourite, Henry's Famous Spicy Shepherd's Pie.

Do you cook, Mick? If so, what do you like best to prepare? And is it appreciated?

Yes, since you ask – yes, I do cook. Maybe even better than Henry here. For a long time I’ve been the chef at Hartley Towers, since it became clear that whereas my wife is not that keen on cooking, I really enjoy it.
No signature dishes, as such. I like casseroles and hotpots, and my quiche is much admired – but, really, whatever turns up. The important thing is to be left alone in the kitchen where I can play my music loud.

Well, I’m not about to add pasta and peas to my cooking repertoire, but yes, she’s sweet.
