    I am baffled by this. I thought we already had our oil companies in there, and we were happily doing business with Gadaff. Why would we instigsate a war for oil?

    “The loss of Libyan crude oil output keeps the price high.
    “The major oil companies are very happy about this state of affairs. Their profits have never been higher.”

    You can bet your life savings that if the UK, France and USA had sat on their hands last March, and if Qaddafi had been able to crush the rebellion, the Graun would have produced a cartoon attacking said countries for colluding with oppression for the sake of oil.
    Utter cunts.
