Some headlines just grab you, don't they? From the Telegraph:

Head found in David Attenborough's garden was murder victim

As the ashen-faced naturalist was led away from his Richmond home, where he has lived alone since the death of his wife some years ago, a shocked nation tried to come to terms with the latest development in what's already being billed as the most sensational crime of the century. The voice behind a thousand nature programmes, and one of Britain's most iconic broadcasters, was last night said by his lawyer to be "helping police with their enquiries"…

Well no, that's not quite what the article says. It is, frankly, something of a disappointment. And as far as one can tell – and these are, admittedly, early days – Attenborough's phone wasn't even hacked, and no one made up or misattributed any quotations. A sad decline in journalistic standards.

They're still good with those headlines though.
