    I suspect the Arab League just want to be able to say that they called for action against Gaddafi. It’s unlikely that they will take any action. NATO is probably similar. They’ll produce plenty of words but no action. It took years for NATO to do something about Milosevic. They’re not going to have years to think about this time. One thing is pretty clear if you’re going to rise up against your dictator your chances are a lot better if he’s the sort that the Far Left denounces as a Western puppet. If he’s the kind of ‘anti-imperialist’ that the Far Left prefers your chances are not great.
