More Western Swing, this time an instrumental showcase for Ocie Stockard and the Wanderers. Probably from the early Forties: in the late Thirties Ocie was with Milton Brown and his Brownies, then formed his own band after Milton's death, and went on to join Bob Wills in 1946. Featured on Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour Season 3, Cats, with the 1941 "Put a Nickel in the Kitty".

Some more early (1930s) Western Swing – Kangaroo Blues, from Cliff Bruner and his Texas Wanderers (folks did a lot of wandering back then), with the immortal line, " I've got a gal, she walks just like a kangaroo". Or the aforementioned Milton Brown and his Brownies.

Bob Dunn of first Milton Brown and then Cliff Bruner was the first ever electric guitarist to be recorded.

Can’t stop listening to it. I love that little string bridge that comes between the different sections. You can hear it first at about 53 seconds.
