Mrs Howe referred to homosexuals as "sodomites" and blamed "their perverted sexual practice" for sexually transmitting diseases as well as the "downfall of every Empire".
She argues that she is not homophobic, but was expressing her deeply held religious beliefs.

I’m pretty sure that had these sorts of comments originated in, say the Midlands, they would have gone unnoticed…hell, they’d have been celebrated!

So basically what she’s saying is that if an uninvolved 3rd party hears some comment between two other individuals, he or she, if they feel offended, may file a complaint. Welcome to PC Hell…

Blimey, DaninVan, I do declare you’re a Londoner, but at least you’ve reached stage 3 of the Londoner’s awareness index:
Stage 1: Knows there is London.
Stage 2: Knows there is London AND the Norf
Stage 3: Knows there is London, the Norf AND somewhere else.
