   Absolutely not a criticism of your photography, M.H., you’re good! However…pics of modern British architecture give me a chill. There’s a relentlessness to it; no place for humans (yes, I see the bench, would you want to spend your lunch hour sitting there?).
   I grew up in Vancouver and love it’s cheekiness, garish colours, chaotic mixes of style, but above all else it’s focus on the stuff people do.
   Not my pics but a nice illustration of the ambiance that I’m speaking of.

   Well OK, DV, but obviously London isn’t all like this. The boards around this area have only just been removed. A couple of months ago it was still a building site. No one’s yet moved in to the building, so it looks still pretty much just as it must have looked on the architect’s models – which was I suppose partly what attracted me. Give it a few years and then we’ll see how it looks.

   Now, later, won’t matter. There’s the same quality of lifelessness that I first noticed many years ago in pictures of British council flats (I think that’s what you’d call what I’m referring to). I’ve noticed the same ‘quality’ in some Toronto developments; soulessness.
   But as I said before, no reflection on your unquestionable talent as a photographer.
