Via Will at the DTPWs, here's the Typealyzer's verdict on the author of this blog:
INTP – The Thinkers The logical and analytical type. They are especialy attuned to difficult creative and intellectual challenges and always look for something more complex to dig into. They are great at finding subtle connections between things and imagine far-reaching implications.
They enjoy working with complex things using a lot of concepts and imaginative models of reality. Since they are not very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people, they might come across as arrogant, impatient and insensitive to people that need some time to understand what they are talking about.
That bit about not being very good at seeing and understanding the needs of other people is bollocks, of course, but the rest of it's pretty good.
Let's have a look at those Sixteen Personality Types. Here's mine, INTP:
Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.
It's uncanny, isn't it? – like they actually know me personally. And that just from a look at my blog. How on earth do they do it?
The other personality types? Well, here's a selection:
ISTJ – Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration….
ISTP – Quiet and reserved, interested in how and why things work. Excellent skills with mechanical things. Risk-takers who live for the moment….
ISFJ – Quiet, kind, and conscientious. Can be depended on to follow through. Usually puts the needs of others above their own needs….
That's just the first three. It's funny, but they fit me perfectly as well. How odd….
