Yet more proof that women aren’t that good at the comedy thing. I don’t mean that as a slur, by the way – I’m just re-stating a much-observed fact.
My favourite of the list was Tim Vine: “Velcro. What a rip off.”

It’s interesting to compare 2008 with 2006. First, Tom Stade and Josie Long used the same jokes two years apart. Second, Stephen Grant stole a line from Stephen Brown.

And also in the 2006 list, Tim Vine was the funniest: “One-armed butlers, they can take it but they can’t dish it out”
