Bits of London have started disappearing, leaching away, turning into blank space. Has anyone else noticed? Lest people should think I'm losing my mind, I've captured the phenomenon on film.

I knew this would happen. Ever since I started reading Philip K Dick I knew, someday, something like this would happen. But why now? To what purpose?

Well OK - one of these images has been altered, using the latest digital technology. I wonder if astute readers can tell which.

Nice try, Max. It’s a tricky one alright. Anyone else?

Well, actually both have been altered. You have used the tool Posterize from the Adobe Photoshop. You can easily see in the sky in both pictures that the transitions of the blue are not smooth, but they form arcs of similar shades of color. Either way, you have reduced the number of colors in each picture sensibly from the original 16.7 million.
Where do I pick my prize?

Dom wins. Congratulations – and a prize of a year’s free subscription to Mick Hartley.
Fabian, I’m disappointed that you should have thought, even for a moment, that I would have misled my readers and altered both pictures. You’ve let me down badly there – but, more importantly, you’ve let yourself down.

I wish I could understand what this all about.
