Hank Snow twice in one week – whew. So what's Norm going to do about this, eh? States mentioned in the song: Minnesota, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Washington (could be DC though, I suppose), Idaho, Colorado, Nebraska, Alaska, plus Kansas City.

According to Wikipedia the Australian version was the original so, um, here it is – though to be honest you'd be better off reading it: those Aussie place names are wonderful.

The Hank Snow track featured in Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour # 20, Musical Map. Also featured in that show, Sol K Bright's Hawaiian Cowboy - and here the man is, 77 years old, 50 years after the original recording. Does the adjective count?

My favourite Aussie place name is “beyond the black stump”.
