Wow. I was about to ask how they could be so full of smiles while on the grounds of unspeakable evil. And yet here I sit listening to music and reading the internet while Gitmo and Iraq continue.

Whatever your views on Iraq, there’s something, I think, quite repulsive about that.

It’s not so much the stupidity of the comparison…more the smug self-absorption masquerading as guilt, which manages somehow to miss the whole point of what we’re being shown here, and to trivialise the memory of the Holocaust.

    The second most uncomfortable thing about having been opposed to the Iraq adventure from the beginning is finding myself on the same side of the argument as repellent shits like that.

    dearieme, don’t you worry about it, the repellent shits on the pro-war side are probably even worse, I’d guess many people took sides based on the repellent shitiness of each camp anyway.
