The DeZurik Sisters featured on an album I plugged, ooh, ages ago. They only recorded six tracks to vinyl, in 1938. Now (via Metafilter) here are 32 new tracks full of yodelly clucking strangeness from the Checkerboard Squares Radio Show, where they featured as The Cackle Sisters on account of their trademark, um, cackling.
Peach Pickin’ Time in Georgia is a yodelling classic. For some reason I was drawn to I Love a Little Whale, but disappointingly – though more practically – the girls describe only their love for little Willie.
