From an interview with Jyllands-Posten editor Flemming Rose:
When asked whether he regretted his decision to publish the Mohammed cartoons, in light of the firestorm they unleashed in the Islamic world and threats against him, Flemming said it was like asking a rape victim whether she regretted wearing a short skirt.
Thanks for pointing that out, Mick. I’m used to relying on Harry’s Place to point out interesting coverage of important issues, but for some reason they’ve lost interest in freedom of expression lately.
And I see we have to go half-way around the world to find an interview with Flemming Rose. Funny how forgetful we are here in Europe sometimes.
