Megalomaniac Unicellular Idiots

After the anti-British article published last week in a Belgian paper, here’s a report on “Down with America”, a song by Belgian musician Raymond van het Groenewoud.

Hamburgers and coke, yes you already knew

I’m off to Belgium next week for a family gathering, and am starting to get nervous.

    Well, don’t worry. You will find that the Flemish people and also the Walloon People (the french speaking bunch but somewhat enslaved by their PS political party) are warmhearted people. Besides, the fuzz is about the fact that governmental thought police is shamelessly demonstrating its biased political vision and agenda. I do not agree at all with that singer’s vision but I think he should be allowed to express his repugnant idea. However the rub is that the thought police pursues anything not “leftist” whereas they always defend what is coming from a “leftist” source. But believe me, election after election they are loosing ground and grip. You can fool people for some time, but little by little people realise their deceit. imbalances have a tendency to correct themselves, be they leftist or rightist.
    The only caveat I want to give you is: be carefull with arabs (marocans especially) and arab neighbourhoods. Except for their own fellow muslims, the rest of humanity is dirt to them and free to steal from and agress… They are very aggressive in traffic situations

    I would take no notice. The Belgians are the Ben Gunn of international politics.
    As RL Stevenson wrote :
    “Why, nobody minds Ben Gunn,” cried Merry; “dead or alive, nobody minds him.”
    It was extraordinary how their spirits had returned and how the natural colour had revived in their faces. Soon they were chatting together, with intervals of listening; and not long after, hearing no further sound, they shouldered the tools and set forth again, Merry walking first with Silver’s compass to keep them on the right line with Skeleton Island. He had said the truth: dead or alive, nobody minded Ben Gunn.

    That “hot pik” should have been translated as “hot poker”. I suppose that it is some consolation that he has taken a lot of flak from certain compatriots in the guestbook section of his website. He is just another leftie icon of the Dutch-speaking world who rotted away fronm the core outwards. Quite an ugly phenomenon, albeit a noisy one. I’ll keep an eye on him.
