Strange. Jesse Singal writes at UnHerd about trans activist Andrea James, founder of Transgender Map, and his nasty, vicious attacks on his enemies. Yet Singal refers to him with feminine pronouns throughout.
It is centrally relevant to this piece that Andrea James is not in fact a woman, but a man who claims to be a woman. The prime objective of journalism is "don't mislead your audience." Whatever about using "preferred pronouns" out of politeness in passing references, this piece shouldn't have used them for James. It seriously weakened an otherwise excellent exposé of one of the most vicious, misogynistic men in the entire "trans rights" movement. https://t.co/DlE7qvfbbf
