2/8. The idea, which they were quite open about, was that they would kill nationally-conscious Ukrainians during the occupation and assimilate the rest.

3/8. Since Ukraine is not fake, the response of the Russian commentariat has been that more Ukrainians have to be killed than they thought — millions rather than thousands.

4/8. At the moment, Russian propagandists and their allies abroad are pressing for a ceasefire claiming that it's for the good of the Ukrainians themselves.

5/8. This is in fact because of Ukrainian battlefield gains. What Russia has left is talk. If we listen to the Kremlin and not the Ukrainians, we prolong the war and kill far more people.

6/8. A ceasefire would just be to freeze the conflict, allow the West to lose interest, and then return to the genocide. Ukrainians understand this. Listen to them and not to the people killing them.

7/8. The way this war ends is when Ukraine wins. That will be best not only for Ukraine but also for Russia. Russia must lose for the fascist moment to pass.

8/8. Russians who care about their country understand this. It will be a better Russia when genocidal propagandists no longer have the last word.
