A trigger warning of note:
The Young Vic Theatre in London has warned audiences about various themes in its forthcoming revival of Zinnie Harris’s Further than the Furthest Thing.
The production would contain “strong language, themes of climate displacement and xenophobia, and depictions of pregnancy and infant homicide”, the theatre said in the first stage of its advice to patrons.
There would also be references to “sexual violence, mental illness, death and implied suicide” as well as “moments of loud music”.
The notice on the theatre’s website finishes: “This show involves the handling of cooked egg.” The theatre said the “warning is there for anyone with an egg allergy as cooked eggs are handled during the show”.
