As I may have noted before, North Korea's official Rodong Sinmun regularly features items from the past showcasing the Supreme Leader's extraordinary love for his people, and their love for him. These emotional tales appear in the Politics section, which I suppose is fair enough given that political reporting in North Korea doesn't really go any further than idolisation of the Kim dynasty.
Here's one of today's offerings – His Sincerity Full of Joy:
It was one November day in Juche 107 (2018).
That day the respected General Secretary came to the spot after receiving a report that a fishery station caught more fishes in a short span of time.
He wore a bright smile on his face saying that he was so pleased to see the unloading of fresh fish from the vessel and the fishes which were poured out at an outdoor ground.
Noting that he would have a photo taken against the background of this wonderful scenery, he summoned the fishermen and employees. Thus they gathered around him in sheer delight.
Just at that moment they froze by the fact that his shoes and lower part of trousers got wet with fishlike water.
Reading their minds, the respected General Secretary said that it was his taste and pleasure to take the fishy smell and smell of wild edible greens and fruits.
Looking up to him, the accompanying officials were moved to tears.
As, indeed, are we all.
