The woman who's done more than anyone recently to get children reading continues to be cancelled:

A secondary school specialising in the performing arts has removed JK Rowling’s name from one of its houses because of her views on transgender rights.

The Boswells School in Chelmsford, Essex, said the decision followed “numerous requests by students and staff” in light of the Harry Potter creator’s “comments and viewpoints surrounding trans people”. Rowling’s name had been lent to one of the school’s six houses as someone who embodied the house’s core value of “self-discipline”.

However, she has been replaced by Dame Kelly Holmes, the Olympic middle-distance champion, following a review announced during the summer.

In a newsletter, seen by MailOnline, which featured an image of the house logo with the writer’s name erased, the school said that Rowling’s views on trangender issues “do not align with our school policy and school beliefs. A strong house identity empowers our students to participate and thrive in all aspects of school life, both in and out of the classroom.”

In other words, they don't believe in women's rights, or in science. Good to know.

Kelly Holmes has been targeted by trans activists after she objected to athletes who've transitioned competing in women's sports. I wonder how long she'll last.
