The Ford River Rouge Complex, in Dearborn Michigan along the Rouge River, was built between 1917 and 1928, and was at the time the largest integrated factory in the world. Photographer Michael Kenna visited over twenty years ago, and his book The Rouge, originally published in 1995, has now been reissued in a revised edition as, simply, Rouge:
